Water Damage, Fire Damage & Mold Remediation in Sacramento, CA
Burst pipes, overflowing coolers, kitchen fires and hidden mold don’t keep business hours, and neither do we. Call 1-800-994-7575 or our Sacramento office at (916) 376-0908.
What to Do Right After the Damage
- Water: Close the main shutoff valve and turn off the evaporative cooler or AC if it is leaking. Only switch off power to wet rooms if you can reach the breaker panel without standing in water. Take photos before you move anything.
- Fire and smoke: Wait for the fire department to clear the building. Don’t run the HVAC system, which can push soot into every room, and don’t try to wash soot off walls.
- Mold: Leave visible mold alone, keep the room closed and fix the leak or moisture source if you can.
Water Damage Restoration in Sacramento
Sacramento sits where the American and Sacramento Rivers meet, and the city’s levees, Natomas basin and low-lying neighborhoods make flooding a real concern in heavy winters, as the floods of 1986 and 1997 showed. Most water damage we see, though, starts inside the house: water heaters, washing machine hoses, slab leaks, and evaporative coolers or AC condensate lines that overflow into attics and ceilings during long summer heat waves.
Our water damage restoration team finds where the water has travelled with moisture meters, removes standing water, and dries the structure with commercial dehumidifiers and air movers. We keep measuring until materials are dry, which matters because wet drywall and carpet pad can start growing mold within a couple of days. Then we repair what had to be removed.
Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration
House fires in Sacramento most often start in kitchens, dryers and electrical systems, and smoke from Northern California wildfires has blanketed the valley in recent years, including during the 2018 Camp Fire. After a fire we board up and tarp the property, remove soot and smoke odor from surfaces, ducts and belongings, and pack out and clean contents through our contents restoration service. Our residential construction crews then rebuild. Read more about our fire and smoke damage restoration.
Mold Remediation and Mold Removal
Sacramento summers are dry, so mold here usually means a water problem: a slow plumbing leak, a dripping cooler, a roof leak from winter storms, or moisture in the crawl spaces under older homes in East Sacramento, Land Park and Curtis Park. Our mold remediation process finds and stops the moisture, contains the area under negative air pressure, removes mold-damaged materials, HEPA-vacuums and cleans remaining surfaces, and dries everything so mold doesn’t return.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you work in Natomas and other areas near the levees?
Yes. We serve all of Sacramento, including Natomas, the Pocket and Land Park. If floodwater has entered your home, stay out of the water, since it can carry sewage and chemicals, and call us at 1-800-994-7575.
My evaporative cooler leaked into the ceiling. Is that an emergency?
It can be. Water from a cooler or AC drain line soaks into insulation and drywall quickly, and wet ceilings can sag or fall. Turn the unit off, put a bucket under any drip and call us so we can measure how far the water has spread.
Does smoke from distant wildfires really need cleaning?
Often it doesn’t, but heavy smoke can leave fine soot in HVAC systems, on window sills and in fabrics, along with a lingering odor. If you smell smoke indoors days later or see gray film on surfaces, we can inspect and clean it.
Will you work with my insurance company?
We document the damage with photos and moisture readings and provide the records your adjuster asks for. Coverage depends on your policy, so call your insurer early to start the claim.
